Langdon Tactical has gone and done it again—doubled down on Springfield Armory pistol! This time Langdon Tactical has decided to give the Springfield Armory Hellcat a little more growl and a lot more bite.
The Springfield Hellcat is one of the most popular subcompact pistols sold in the U.S. And at least one version of the Hellcat has been solidly cemented in every top 10 list when it comes to pistols since its debut. Ernest Langdon and his shop, Langdon Tactical Technologies, are all about providing their customers with the best products for performance and protection.
At the heart of the Langdon edition Hellcat is their partnership with Apex Triggers. A couple months ago Apex released their Action Enhancement Trigger for the Hellcat pistols. And while the trigger pull is enhanced with the Apex kit, it’s that extra that the gunsmiths at LTT do that sets them apart. I took the slide off my LTT Hellcat and what did my eye spy? Someone has been in my Hellcat diligently polishing away making my internals shine like icy bling. When you pull the trigger you get that edge of a smooth trigger with a positive crisp trigger break. The Apex AET reduces the trigger travel and reset distance so you end up with a nice combination.
LTT offers two different options when it comes to the LTT Hellcat. You can send in your Hellcat to LTT for a custom job, or you can buy the customized gun direct from LTT and have it shipped to your local dealer. Buying the pistol from LTT might be a good option, especially since in the last year it seems like everything that was hot is always out of stock. Not only can you order a Hellcat, but you get a kick-butt, take-no-names pistol. Whichever route you decide to go, LTT gives you a wide range of options and add ons that you can do to your Hellcat pistol beyond a trigger job to make it to your specs.
A pistol is pretty much useless if you can’t easily shoot at your target accurately. LTT offers a set of Ameriglo night sights that are taller than the factory sights. These are meant for use with a red dot or reflex sight, and improve the visibility. The taller sights are easier to pick up through the window of red dot housing. A good set of usable sights are a must on a defensive pistol as a backup to the electronic sight. The front is a tritium night sight with a high visibility lime green ring. The rear is blacked out, which also helps your eyes catch the front sight, especially through the red dot housing if the battery dies. The factory OSP Springfield Hellcat slide is cut for the Shield RMSc red dot footprint, so this gives you a couple options for red dots. Also, LTT offers the option of the C&H adapter plate, which will allow the Hellcat OSP to use the RMR or Holosun micro red dots expanding options. (Speaking of micro red dots, is your local dealer out of stock? LTT has your back and offers several different red dots to add to your custom build.)
The Hellcat is one cool cat, but a milkshake is not complete without the whipped cream and a cherry on top. That cherry comes in the form of an extended mag release and a set of Talon Evolution Grips. Throw in some laser engraving and that milkshake brings all the boys (and girls) to the yard. Is my LTT better than yours? Undeniably so. Check out what Langdon Tactical technology can do for you at
